Thank you for your interest in Cley Windmill for your wedding or civil ceremony. We are currently inundated with requests so, before ringing us to check availability, please do read through the steps below:
Large weddings with accommodation are now full for 2008. However we do have limited dates still available during 2008 for either very small weddings with accommodation, or ceremony only weddings.
The windmill has a full wedding licence and can accommodate a maximum of 20 people (to include the bride and groom) in our sitting room, which is where the wedding ceremony takes place. Weddings are conducted by the Registrar from North Walsham and these take place in the afternoon.
If your wish is for the ceremony only, the price is £490.00.
If you wish to take the entire windmill, we can accommodate 14 people in our Bed & Breakfast rooms or the number can go up to 20 if we include the Self Catering cottages.
Because of the unique and memorable setting, we experience high demand for weddings and we often receive bookings up to two years in advance!
The windmill is also an ideal place for gatherings following a christening or any other ceremony.
We are very happy to welcome you to the windmill for a visit to discuss your wedding plans. We would, however, ask that you telephone first to make an appointment in order that we can spend time with you. Whilst we are able to show you the public rooms, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to show you all of the bedrooms as some may be occupied at the time of your visit. Our website, however, has comprehensive photographs of all of our bedrooms including a floorplan.
The menus below are sample menus of the type of food we are able to offer. We are, however, happy to cater to your own personal requirements if you would like something different or have any particular dietary requirements. We are also happy to lay on a traditional Norfolk cream tea. All food is freshly produced and locally sourced wherever possible.

To Charlotte and everyone at Cley Mill. Just a little note to say a huge thank you for all that you did for us to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. The mill was the most beautiful place in which to get married and all the staff were delightful, more than helpful and very professional yet still friendly. The food was delicious and everything was exactly as I dreamed of. You have a very special venue and a fantastic team - I would, and have already started to, recommend the mill to everyone I meet. We hope to return for our anniversary so hope to see you soon. Once again, thank you for making our stay absolutely divine. Victoria & Stuart.
